Placement Reviewed list of opportunities provided during RESEED volunteer training Independently identified STEM Director for Billerica Middle Schools (Mrs. Cathy McCulley) Introductory RESEED discussion with Mrs. McCulley Discussed the goals and objectives of the RESEED Program with 7th and 8th grade teachers from Locke and Marshall Middle Schools Immediate support for newly formed Robotics Team requested by Mrs. Maureen Parker Placement Requirement – CORI screening

Activities Mentoring Work with Teacher in Science Class (new request) After School Program - Robotics Team Mentor and Coach Provided guidance for robot modifications, competition strategies Built playing field section for effective practice sessions Procured special tools and supplies for robot modification and repair Relieved teacher of burden of setting up and putting things away at practice sessions Participated in three local scrimmages and accompanied/chaperoned the team to the VEX World Championships – Louisville, KY Designed artwork for banners, buttons, hats, flyers; participated in fundraising activities Procured and modified transit case for robot transportation Science Fair Judge Worked with Other Volunteer – Technology Day with Chuck Kitchen Mentoring Provide 7th grade teachers perspective on new Physical Science (Electricity and Magnetism) content standards to be implemented next year  Lead brainstorming session on projects/labs that students could engage in as a part of the standards Work with Teacher in Science Class (new request) Provide assistance in developing Cross curricular math and science project for 8th grade students using robotic drones Substitute Teacher (new request)
