 Read the articles that have been given to you assuming that everything that the author says is true. First Reading

 Should juveniles be punished less harshly than adults?  Do you think that execution should be banned from some age groups of juveniles? Which ones?  Do you agree with Lundstrom that it is inconsistent to deny privileges like voting and drinking to teenagers but then to sentence them as adults? Why?  Do you agree with Lundstrom that the media is perpetuating the stereotype of violent youths, or is it a real problem in our society? What makes you think this? Reading Questions

 Read the articles again, but this time consider what might not be inherently true. Write a question mark in the margin whenever you come across something that you think might not be right.  Also, as you read write in the margins (or annotate) any thoughts you have as you read— questions, comments, thoughts.  After you have finished reading consider how this second reading may have influenced your thinking. Rereading

 Break the article “Startling finds on Teenage Brains” into sections. Draw a line between Paragraph 3 &4, 4 &5, 7&8, and 9&10.  This should have broken the article up into 5 different sections.  On a separate sheet of paper, write a brief 2-3 sentence summary of each section. Descriptive outline
