By the mystery of the INCARNATION, Jesus, born of Mary, came into our world to live and dwell with us. Jesus Christ is the Word made flesh, Both FULLY HUMAN and FULLY DIVINE.

Reasons for God sending Jesus 1.To reunite our FAITH in God- Jesus sacrificed Himself to show God’s Love for us.

2.To let us know God’s Love for us- Jesus made known to us God’s Love. God loved us so much that He gave and sacrificed His only Son for us. God sent Jesus to forgive us and renew our faith.

3.To serve as our model of Holiness- He showed us equality and unity in our community. He gave concrete examples like serving the poor, etc.

4.To help us become His sons and daughters by being sharers of the divine nature- Jesus was an example of a True Christian Life and taught us to be the image and likeness of God

Titles of Jesus Christ 1.Christ- the “Anointed One”, the Messiah. “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with Power” Acts 10:38

2.Son of God- This title tells us that Jesus is the Son of the Father. He has a unique and everlasting relationship with the Father. “Jesus Christ to God His Father: He is the only Son of the Father” John 1:14, 18

3.Lord- This indicates His divine sovereignty. To confess or invoke Jesus as Lord is believing in His divinity. “No one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ except by the Holy Spirit” 1 Corinthians 12:3 CCC

We Do What Do? As Disciples of Christ, we are called to conform our lives to Him by… Living in a loving community with othersLiving in a loving community with others Seeing Jesus in the faces of the least of God’s childrenSeeing Jesus in the faces of the least of God’s children Serving those whom the world has forgottenServing those whom the world has forgotten
