Dance Workshop Presentation at closing demonstrations for SummerWorkshops Practice at barrio activo site in la pastora
Summer Camp Dance Step Dancing The step piece introduced a genre of dancing that the campers had only seen in movies. It t involved a lot of patience, effort, and repetition. The dance taught the group discipline, respect and most importantly, unity. Danza Kuduro Danza Kuduro was a dance mix of some African influence and a few salsa steps. This dance gave the kids the opportunity to use their creativity by incorporating their own dance moves into the piece. As a group, we worked together to finish the choreography.
The Final Presentation Students were given the opportunity to put on a presentation for their parents to show them what they learned in summer camp. Sports In the sports demonstration, we played a game of “Quemado” or Dodgeball as it is called in the United States. This game allowed the parents to learn a new game and involve themselves in the closing activities. Recreation During recreation, the campers presented some breakdancing techniques that they had learned. Learning breakdance helped the boys discover their own personal interest in dance. It also showed them the advantages of teamwork; working together they achieved more.
