Weather By Shannon Noble

 This is the general name for any water falling from the sky. This could be rain, sleet, snow, etc. Precipitation

Rain  Rain is liquid form of precipitation. Rain can be the cause of many natural disasters, but can also be the source of growth in the environment, as it waters plants and helps them grow.

Snow  Snow is a solid form of precipitation. Many times, snow can be fun to enjoy. But avalanches can occur, and people can be buried under the snow.

The Sun  The Sun is our source of light. The Sun is always shining, but because our earth is rotating, we cannot see the Sun all the time. The Sun is actually a star.

Who Predicts the Weather?  A meteorologist is a scientist who studies and predicts the weather. You can see these people on TV, talking about what your day and week of weather is going to look like.
