Types of Shops There are lots of different types of shops. Supermarkets Fruit and veg shops Toy shops Clothes shop Jewelery shops Newsagents.

Supermarkets Supermarkets are big shops that sell food and other things for your house. We can buy meat, dairy products, sweets, cleaning products, fruit and vegetables, medicine and pet foods in supermarkets.

Supermarkets Lidl, Aldi, Tesco and Dunnes Stores are supermarkets. Sometimes supermarkets also sell clothes and toys. What is your favourite supermarket?

Toy Shops We can buy toys in toy shops. We put our purchases in a shopping trolly. We walk up and down the aisles.

Shopkeepers Shopkeepers work in shops. They stack the shelves, clean the shop and take our money at the cash register. What kind of shop does this lady work in?

Buying things We need money to buy things in shops. We give money to the shopkeeper and they sell us what we want to buy. Sometimes they give us change.
