PURDUE UNIVERSITY Project Summary There is no concrete way, currently, to show the benefits of the Habitat program to the community, both locally and nationally. Grants are given based on ability to show standard of living improvements, so HFHI needs a way to show how they help improve homeowner quality of life.

PURDUE UNIVERSITY Semester Tasks Create a centralized database on a secure server The web-based program will consist of three main parts: A Survey Generator Homeowner Response Collection\Input Statistical Analysis

PURDUE UNIVERSITY Technical Solution The current program relies on a single main database to hold the surveys, responses, and a list of questions and answers. HFHI standards are to use Microsoft products and HFHI’s current databases are created with Microsoft Access; following their standards we are also calling the queries with SQL statements.

PURDUE UNIVERSITY Create Survey (1) Affiliates send paper copy to the homeowners through regular mail Homeowner fills out survey (paper form) (2) Homeowners send paper copy to the affiliates through regular mail Affiliates enter homeowner responses into the secure Database (web-based) (3) Changes made to the database are logged and saved. National, State, & Local levels each can uses the statistical analysis tools to show “Standard of Living” changes (4) Basic Process
