Use of Interest Areas  The use of interest areas appeals to the range of children’s interests  Interest areas provide children an opportunity to pursue their interests and learn skills and concepts  High quality interest areas enable children to learn no matter what interest area they are in

Considerations for Interest Areas  Do the areas reflect the interests of the children?  Do the areas facilitate a number of teaching objectives?  Do they reflect the program’s philosophy?
