SLLLN Approaches to Employer Engagement Employer Contribution to Course Delivery Workshop

An Employer led Foundation Degree A project that engages with employers in the sport and leisure sector linked to the St Mary’s University College / Richmond upon Thames College Foundation Degree in Sport, Health & Fitness, specifically relating to: Design Development Delivery

How the project came about Re-Validation presented an opportunity to review employer involvement in the FD Foundation Degree Forward supported the concept of greater employer involvement SLLLN funded a two stage project (Design / Development & Delivery) to bring about this employer engagement

The Main Activities An Employers Forum to engage key employers in the sector in the design & development of the FD An Employer’s Handbook to Foundation Degree’s Employers engaging in the delivery of FD Modules

Principal Outcomes Developing a sustainable model for employer engagement in the development, design and delivery of Foundation Degrees Designing teaching, learning and support materials with a work based learning / employer focus Ensure course content is relevant to employer needs Disseminating best practice for employer engagement to other institutions within the SL LLN
