Student friendly INMM members are active in trying to get students involved and interested in INMM. Members go out of their way to attend student presentations and give helpful feedback. This is also a good opportunity for labs to recruit interns and Universities to recruit for grad school. Funding Resources: Registration is little to nothing for students members Central chapter funds a couple student each year with an emphasis on new attendees National INMM provides one room to each student chapter Rackham travel grant is a good resource The college of engineering will often help with some funding if enough students are attending If you have a fellowship, check if they will give you funding INMM Annual Meeting

Annual Meeting Abstract Submission Highly encourage you to submit an abstract for the INMM Annual Meeting! Topics include: Facility Operations International Safeguards Materials Control & Accountability Nonproliferation & Arms Control Packaging, Transportation & Disposition Nuclear Security & Physical Protection Education, Training and Workforce Development
What does it entail? Submit a < 350-word abstract with paper justification and a short biographical sketch by February 1, Submit a full written paper by June 9, 2012 to be published in Proceedings of the Annual Meeting. Give a oral or poster presentation at the Annual Meeting. All documents must be submitted via the INMM Web site at for review by the INMM Technical Program Committee.
How to submit an abstract?
The Abstract Should appear in one full paragraph without line breaks. Should not include references or bulleted lists. Must contain a description of the work. Must describe the significance of the work. May include background information. May provide a summary. Make sure that all acronyms are defined.
The Abstract (cont.) Background information may be omitted if your subject is self explanatory. The abstract should provide sufficient information for a selective review by the Technical Program Committee. Presentations may be submitted as either an oral presentation, a poster presentation, or a panel discussion. 14
Additional Information Primary Presenter Provide one primary presenter. Data required for the presenter: first name, last name, institution, full mailing address, phone and address. Co-Authors A maximum of 14 co-authors are allowed. Data required for the co-authors: first name, last name, institution, institution city/state/country, and e- mail address.
Additional Information (cont.) Presenter Biography A short biographical sketch is required to provide adequate information for the session chair to properly introduce the speaker. Include title, affiliation, relevant experience, academic background and significant accomplishments. Biographical sketches will not be published. 16
