The Schoolhouse Alethea – Anne – Nat Urban Watershed Management 26 March 2003

Schoolhouse Mission To educate children on watershed quality and how human acts and urbanization can impact the overall watershed.

Have you ever been in a watershed? YES!! You are in a watershed right now! When it rains or when snow melts, the water flows towards a lake, stream, river, or the ocean. This is a watershed. Therefore, the water quality of any waterbody is affected by every impact in it’s watershed. Watersheds can be very small, or they can be really big. The Mississippi river watershed covers more than half the United States!! Find what watershed you are in!!

What can you do? To reduce water usewater use To reduce pollution and wastepollution and waste To reduce energy useenergy use

Activities What’s your ecological footprintecological footprint Take our quizquiz Burlington pollution hunt
