North West Senior Open The Areas premier event takes place this month. There are separate categories for this Ranking event - Kyu grade Men & Women and Veteran Men & Women. Entries for this competition must be in by Monday 25 January For further information, please contact Mark Walsh on Combined Promotion Examinations In line with the new BJA Junior Grading System that is being introduced in April, the area will be combining all sections of gradings onto one day. On this day, all Junior grades will be processed as well as Kyu and Dan Grades. The first of these combined examinations will be held at Middleton Recreation Centre on Sunday 16th May. There will also be a Kyu/Dan P.E. on Sunday 7th February and a Junior P.E. on Sunday 21st February. These events will NOT be combined. Combined County Champs 1999 The dates for the County Championships have been rearranged for They will now be held on the following dates; Lancashire & Merseyside County Champs.
