Technical Assistance Program TAP - Industrial Energy Efficiency Services Presentation of TAP’s 2005 – 2006 Industrial Energy Efficiency (IEE) Project In partnership with Indiana Industrial Energy Consumers, Inc.

Technical Assistance Program TAP - Industrial Energy Efficiency Services Objective: Energy utilization improvement amongst the State’s most intensive industrial energy users. Goal: 15% energy savings by 2009; 30% energy savings by Tools: Partnerships (INDIEC, CGCU & others) that recognize the value-added in technology, technical training and knowledge of “best practices”. Funding sources (Lt. Gov.’s Energy Group, DoE) that encourage implementation. Knowledge base (DoE labs, subject matter experts) that can provide technical data, case studies and educational opportunities. Target: High energy industrial users = 75% of industrial energy consumption in the State of Indiana. = energy bills in excess of $2 million per year. = 119 facilities in Indiana.

Technical Assistance Program TAP - Industrial Energy Efficiency Services KEY PARTNERSHIPS  Purdue TAP – Industrial Energy Efficiency: Fund staff support, project management, work statement execution, economic impact, site visits, energy assessments and BTU improvement project planning, program sustainability  Indiana Industrial Energy Consumers Inc.: Industrial base access, promotion, training and event partnerships  Citizen’s Gas and Coke Utility: Industrial base access, training projects, sponsorships, promotion  Office of the Lieutenant Governor – Energy Group: Program Management, energy project grants, loans and services, administer audit program, program sustainability  NiSource: Educate end users about CHP technologies; demonstrations and implementation  Department of Energy - Chicago Regional: Project support, links to other DoE assets, and promotion
