Office Chemicals Lunch Room Talks for the Clerical Environment

Knowledge of Chemical Safety  Chemicals are all around us, whether you work in an office, warehouse, or an industrial setting.  How do you know what types of chemicals you are exposed to in your work environment?

Material Safety Data Sheets  A MSDS is a document required for all hazardous chemical products. Federal regulations require the manufacturer to provide as much information as possible concerning the chemical nature of their products to the purchaser of the product.  In your office environment you may come in contact with the following: –Adhesives –Correction fluid –Cleaners –Printer toners –Inks  If you are exposed to any of these products, contact your office manager and ask for the MSDS sheets. Also, find out where the MSDS sheets are located.
