Goals 1. To expose students to a well- replicated proteomic (gel) data set 2. To lead students to explore criteria for comparing models for this data set 3. To guide students working in groups to prepare a presentation of their analysis and results

General Approach Hands-On Activity with Computers for About Two Hours after Lunch Afternoon Computer Activities Amplified Morning Lectures Elementary Statistical and Graphing Examples—Model Fitting, Residuals Early Exposure to Proteomic Data

Computer Laboratory Format Specific spreadsheet tasks were demonstrated with detailed instructions Example if desired Work Files Evolved During First Two Weeks in Preparation for Projects Example if desired
