Budget Battle Over the last two years the CSU’s budget was slashed by half a billion dollars. Teaching and learning suffers as faculty, students, and staff carry the burden of the cuts. Student fees have increased by 63% -- so far. Classes have been cut back drastically. Class size has increased dramatically. Faculty & staff have lost jobs. CSU faculty have had NO general salary increases for two years.
