Research  Websites should be informative for both current and prospective students (Cavanaugh & Cavanaugh, 2002)  Websites should be encoded for meaning rather than appearance (Pugalee & Bray, 2003)  Websites should be able to be utilized by their students, parents, administration, community and teachers (Badner, 2004)

Findings  30% of families are using website  Most popular pages are: student page and sports page  Of the 30% who use the website 71% find the website beneficial and useful  Suggestions made for improvement by these families are: Current events Upcoming events Programs Homework assignments Grades Student names More graphics Music Educational games  26% of families use the classroom website  Of the 26% who utilized the website 100% of them found the website beneficial and useful  Suggestions made for improvement by these families are: Educational games Grades Names of students who are being successful in the teachers class School Website Teacher Website

 Research shows that school & classroom websites should be available  Researcher found that in this inner city school, families who utilize the sites found them beneficial  Question of the have and have not's is still an issue in this inner city school  60% of the 23 families that completed the survey have a computer with Internet access  Only three families utilize communication with teacher  Researcher has found having a classroom website has increased her communication efficiency with students and parents  Prediction: If more families have computers with Internet access in their home then the websites would be utilized more than they currently are being utilized
