California gold rush links Who found gold What happened next How and were was gold found How did people acted when they found gold Ways they got to California Other places were they found gold How they found gold A thanks to you

Who found gold first The first man to find gold was James Wilson Marshall while he was building a saw mill by a river. When he found it he was so exited that he started screaming, “I found gold!” back

What happened next Then they news went from California-the south coast. People from all over the U.S came to California to find gold by boat or by wagon. If you took a bout to California it would cost a lot of money and a long time and if you took a wagon it would not cost a lot but it would be hard, long and dangerous. back

How and were was gold found When James Wilson Marshall was working on a saw mill in fort Sutter. When he showed John Sutter, the man who hired him to make the saw mill, he thought it was fake but they tried to do all these things to see if it was real and sure enough it was real. He told his workers not to tell people because he did not want people on his land. back

How did people act when they gold Then people started finding gold and buying stuff with it. One man found gold and spent it on some beer. Another man had a bottle off gold powder and started yelling, “Gold! Gold! Gold!” Then something called the gold fever came. It is like the gold is calling you to come and get them. Back

Ways they got to California They got to California by boat or by covered wagons. If you went by boat then you would either go around South America or take a boat to Panama and walk or take a horse too the other side of Panama and take another boat to California. If you went by wagon then you would face hard things like cholera or natives, starvation, and freezing cold. back

Other places were they found gold They did not gust find gold at Wilson saw mill, they found it under the foot and on hills, in streams and in other places. Once three men went to find gold and one more man was watching them saw them find 1,296 dollars worth of gold. back

How they found gold They found gold by either a sifter or gust pick it out of they river and stream banks. Since there was a lot of people going to find gold, the things that you needed were not $1 but were $56. back
