The Gambian Coin

Hello how are you, we hope you are well. We have some exciting news and we are going to tell you all about it on this powerpoint. Can you guess what we are going to show you?

We have found a Gambian coin ( known as a Dalasi) in a coin collection. A wonderful girl, called Gypsie, came in and told the school how she found it. She is going to tell you how she found it.

I found this coin in my dad’s money collection but I have never been to Gambia before my dad let me have it so I can bring it into school.

Is this a Dalasi? This is a picture of the crocodile on one side of the coin. The other picture shows the Republic Of The Gambia.

We are going to show you one of our coins. Can you guess what type of coin it is? It shows our queen and on the other side there is a pattern. Do you know what coin it is?

Did you guess what it was? It was a ten pence coin. We gave you a bit of a clue. Here is the clue- We wonder what other coins you have. Maybe you can send us a PowerPoint explaining the different coins you have.

Here is another one of our coins it is a fifty pence. We think it looks similar to your Dalasi coin.

We looked at the coin and noticed that it was the same shape. They are both heptagons- they both have 7 sides. We hoped you enjoyed our PowerPoint. We hope to hear from you soon Bye Bye
