GLAST LAT Project Analysis Meeting April 22, 2004 E. do Couto e Silva 2/5 Software Workshop at NRL Discussions and presentations on several tasks related to CAL reconstruction. Priorities and group responsibilities are being re-assigned. Presentations on data analysis and calibrations from GSI and SLAC EM data Discussions on inflight calibrations with GCR Preliminary report of failure mode analysis (impact on CAL performance) Flight Integration (4 hour discussions) –Following algorithms from SVAC-Plan LAT-MD will be delivered by NRL to I&T by the end of May: C14, C15, C18, C19/20 –Another version will follow using TKR information for CAL Calibrations –CAL requests a couple of days (TBR) of muon data taken for calibrations when LAT is assembled. SVAC has not spent sufficient time on this item yet. SAS OPUS Pipeline –SAS will be available for discussions with I&T 2 weeks from now (on schedule) SAS Geometry Review –Started discussions with NRL ONLINE/LDF –SAS reads ACD “data” from version V version and now starting to work with new release (V )

GLAST LAT Project Analysis Meeting April 22, 2004 E. do Couto e Silva 5/5 Current work MC simulations –Generating MC for 2 towers –Studying variables and reconstruction code SVAC Database –Implementing library changes –Preparing for discussions with ISOC/SAS/Online –Discussed with CAL NRL –Will discuss with TKR when Hiro is back SVAC SLAC (June 7 and 8) –See next slide EM Data Analysis –Need to discuss with TKR possible charge sharing issues –Getting ready for ACD calibrations with 2 tiles –Expect Tune’s group to lead EM2 analysis Focus is on the SVAC workshop (feeling the pressure…) EM activities were bumped to lower priority
