Responsible Conduct Of Research (RCR) Effective Dates by academic year – 8/16-8/15 All graduate students, postdoctoral researcher associates, research specialists, undergraduate students working on active research projects – 5 hours initial – 3 hours renewal Masters students (including online and certificate students) – In coursework

Who will monitor? Student’s graduate academic advisor at annual evaluation Principal Investigator Contracts and Grants/Graduate School Granting agencies (currently just NSF & NIH)

Topics Human subjects Authorship/Data management Conflict of Interest (COI) Other topics pertinent to the research project (as determined by the PI) or the student’s academic program (as determined by the advisor) MA topics TBD by departments over next 6 months
