Steps O Assess the Tobacco Problem O Offer a Cessation Program O Policy Change O Train O Implement
Time O To be effective, the entire process may take a year or more. O May take more time depending on receptivity O This includes time for cessation classes to be established along with time for sufficient policy awareness to take place.

Assessing the Problem O Almost 100 students and staff were surveyed O 13.8% have used tobacco O 69% are interested in quitting O Only 35% feel secondhand smoke is a problem O 71% are concerned for their health O 84% say they would support a Tobacco Free Campus Policy
Cessation O Partnering with the Nursing program at Martin (100 nurses) O The nurses are going to be trained with Breathe Free 2 cessation curriculum. O Our goal is to make these cessation classes available to those on campus.
Policy O Martin currently has a policy that restricts smoking in designated areas only. O Our team is in the process of writing a proposal for policy change. O 100% tobacco free
