King Philip’s War Time: ~ Metacomet=Philip (colonists called him) Cause: American Indians were desperate to retain their LANDS!! So the war began~

Damage 1200 houses were ruined 600 English colonials were dead 3000 American Indians were killed  Lost the war!!

Mary Rowlandson c. 1636~1711

Rowlandson’s Life 1636 – was born 1656 – married Joseph Rowlandson – was captured by American Indians – was released 1677 – moved to Wethersfield 1711 – passed away
