Professional Development Outcomes Two graduate credits awarded by California University of Pennsylvania, applicable to Act 48 No cost to participants Must meet or exceed all established requirements to receive two graduate credits

Program Improvements Theme of urban academy is “Differentiated Instruction” Smaller, more focused opportunities for participants to network with peers around educational issues Same concurrent sessions available for all participants to attend Opportunities for participants to share highlights of Teaching and Learning Improvement Plans

Program Improvements Culminating activity: differentiate a literacy or mathematics lesson; or write a response to an open- ended mathematical problem similar to what students must do on PSSA Team planning & reflection moved to end of the day
