Path planning in Assassin’s Creed II Veerle Bodewes

Standing idle

What’s going on? Normal – The guards find several ways to follow you and close you in. Problems – They retry a failed path and they all want to take the same path. The reason? – The guards seem to notice there is a body in the way and try to find another path, but when they are at a certain distance they forget there is a obstacle and try again. – Since nobody is taking the path, nobody is searching for alternatives.
