How to make a tree out of paper (for a change) Combined themes of sustainablity and Christmas School: pre-school, ages 4-7

Social: the community working together Ecological: recycling is a use of materials in a sustainable way Economic: making something valuable from unwanted waste- easy on the pocket

Aim: to raise awareness and to increase the knowledge of sustainability through a recycling project Learning process: children learn about sustainabililty and recyling through the exploration of waste objects to create a Christmas tree Outcome: The children become aware of the materials which can be recycled by exploring waste in a creative and imaginitive way to produce a new product

Integration Maths: measuring during the decorative balls Art: the construction of the Origami balls, paper mache, painting and drawing Science: sustainability Social: Personal Health Education: working together Religion: Christmas Traditions Language: The hidden message
