Problem Statement ITRON Develops Electrical Equipment that is subjected to moisture and rain. ITRON’s products must meet MILSPEC and/ or IEC standards. The current state of testing is very limited.
Problem Statement (cont) The Chamber must be capable of testing to IEC Standards and MILSPEC where available. Chamber must provide some data to validate the test conditions. Chamber should be easy to use Chamber must be durable Chamber must meet budget constraints.
Current State of testing Current test device provides for some moisture testing of products Device does not meet the majority of test specifications for either MILSPEC or IEC Device yields some meaningful results
Testing requirements
The possibilities are: Version one, Version Two, Version Three
Version One Would be able to test to: MILSPEC 1 IEC 1-4 Cost would be: Chassis Instrumentation Pumps and power Total =$
Version Two Would be able to test to MILSPEC 1,2 IEC 1-6 Cost would be: Chassis Instrumentation Pumps and power Total =$
Version Three Would be able to test to: MILSPEC 1,3 IEC 1-6 Advanced data and control system Cost would be: Chassis Instrumentation Pumps and power Controls and Data Total =$10,270.92
Our Recommendation Version Two Can test to all required test Specifications Most Test features for least cost User friendly Ease of maintenance
