Presentation transcript:

First of all I would like to thank Southeast Missouri State, last year’s National Council and all the delegations that attended this year’s National Convention in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, we all had a blast. To all of those whom were not able to attend let me fill you in a little about what we did. We held four business sessions where general business was discussed and voted on, committees met and made recommendations for the upcoming year, we participated in “Breakout Sessions” discussing recruitment, fundraising, and activities, and of course we voted for the National Council. In addition to all the business we also had a lot of fun. We participated in the Ag Olympics, the Ag Quiz Bowl, took tours of the Port Authority and Downtown Cape Girardeau, and had a very interesting speaker at the banquet, Mr. Walter Crawford, Jr., founder of World Bird Sanctuary. For all of those that did not get a chance to make it this year I hope you seriously consider joining us next year at A&M Commerce in Commerce, Texas. Now I would like to introduce to you the National Council. National President: Nicole Edmonson Southern VP: Brittany Junell Eastern VP: Jessica Tester Midwestern VP: Brandon Petzoldt Secretary: Natasha King Parliamentarian: Roxane Magnus Treasurer: Dr. Billy Bruce Greene Advisor: Dr. Jean Gleichsner All of our contact information is available on the National DTA Website and feel free to contact any of us if you have any questions or concerns.

Be sure to visit the National DTA website to view the slide show from the convention

Chapter Presidents and Advisors remember to keep in touch with your region Vice President so everyone can be informed about what is going on in all of our chapters. Also I am going to try something new with the Achiever this year, I would like to include interesting articles on anything new happening in agriculture or any related field, so if anyone comes across an article they find particularly interesting please it to me an I may be able to include it in the next issue. Thank you again for electing my as your National President and if there is anything I can help anyone with, please just let me know. I hope everyone has a fun and safe summer. Nicole Edmonson National President Don’t Forget Check out the To submit Form 40’s after every meeting (ASAP) so that your chapter can be included in the newsletter.
