After You Read This Chapter You Should Be Able To: Explain why its important to have an individual strategy in order to be a “winner” in the information age. Describe how technology is changing in the nature of Communication

Discuss four ways people my react to new technology. Describe how you can stay current with your carrier. Describe different carriers in information technology.

Technology And Organizations Technology changes the nature of competition by introducing new products, new enterprises and new relationships among customers and suppliers.

Technology And People People may be cynical, naive, frustrated or proactive in response to technology. Cynic- feels using a computer is frustrating. Naive- many people are naive and unfamiliar with computers. Frustrated- many people get frustrated easily.

How You Can Be A Winner In The Field Of Technology. Individuals need to stay current, develop specialties, and be alert to organizational changes in opportunities for innovation.

Some More Tips For Your Future In Technology. Develop Professional Contacts. Develop Specialties. Be alert for organizational change. Look for innovating opportunities.

Look for more opportunities that are not work related to get into the technology field. Take working on computers as a hobby. To not be intimidated by changing times in technology. Finally realize that computers are our future.

In Conclusion Technology over the last ten years has jumped incredibly, and the jump in the next ten will be just as big. The important thing is to not be scared of the new technology but embrace it or you may be on the outside looking in.
