 To ensure that children with likely food allergy receive the correct diagnosis and appropriate management as early as possible

 Multiple visits to GP  Multiple visits to Health Visitor  Families receive conflicting advice  Referrals to a variety of secondary care service  Frequent ED/urgent care attendances- avoidable

 More than just another clinic…  GPsI – liaise with local GPs, lead on education and training sessions for GPs  Community nurse- school/nursery liaison, home visits  Dietician –training for community childrens dieticians  Health visitor education

 Proforma  Community service - conditions that need initial GP diagnosis but then can be discharged/nurse and dietician FU.  Secondary care service- complex cases

 1 community clinic/week- GP, nurse, dietician. 6-7 new patients per clinic  Nurse and dietician follow-up clinic  Children may move from community to hospital service and vice versa depending on progression of disease
