My research project By Mary

My research project I am honored to be a "Young Assistant Researcher ’ " in RISE, the topic of my research is “ what do people think about learning English ”. The research project is divided into two parts: interview and survey. I have collected the views of 12 people. I surveyed five children and one adult, and I interviewed five children and one adult. I interviewed some people at home, and some at school.

Questions of Interview 1.Do you think that all Chinese children should learn English? 2.Will learning English help children at school? 3.Will learning English help people do their work? 4.Do you read an English story every day? 5.Is it good to take English classes after school? 6.Would you like to learn math and science in English? 7.Do you learn English better if you use computers and SMART Boards?

What do you like best about learning English?

Conclusions 63% of interviewees think Chinese students should learn English. Most of the interviewees agree that learning English will help children at school and will help people do their work. 67% of the interviewees can ’ t read an English story every day. All of the interviewees think that watching movies is a fun way to learn English.
