English Language Art Proposed Changes: Total of 13 proposed clarifications to current standards – 12 at the elementary grade level – One at the high school grade level Addition of cursive writing as part of current 4 th and 5 th grade standards with printing standards building to cursive writing added as part of current 2 nd and 3 rd grade standards 3

Mathematics Proposed Changes: Total of 24 proposed clarifications to current standards. – 15 at the elementary grade level – One at the middle grade level – Eight at the high school grade level Total of one deleted standard (first grade) Total of 60 (52 calculus NGSSS) new standards – Addition of standards that support measurement, money, algebra and calculus Two in kindergarten Two in first grade One in second grade Two in fourth grade 53 at the high school (this includes 52 current Calculus Next Generation Sunshine State Standards 4
