Tu aimes jouer au football? Tu aimes faire du vélo? Tu aimes faire du patin à glace? Are all of these questions yes/no questions? What’s the difference: –Tu aimes jouer au football. –Tu aimes jouer au football?

Questions There are three ways to ask a yes/no question: –Raise your voice at the end of a declarative statement Ex. Tu aimes jouer au football? –Est-ce que – a question word that goes at the beginning of a sentence; « Do » Ex. Est-ce que tu aimes jouer au football? –Inversion: Invert the conjugated verb and the subject. Ex. Aimes-tu jouer au football?

Questions Practice: Do you like to swim? – raise voice: Tu aimes faire de la natation? –Est-ce que: Est-ce que tu aimes faire de la natation? –Inversion: Aimes-tu faire de la natation? –Answers: Oui, j’aime tellement faire de la natation. Non, je n’aime pas du tout faire de la natation.
