Notes le avril Les verbes en –ir au présent (Regular –ir verbs in the present tense) A second group of regular verbs in French has infinitives that end in –ir. They have two different stems, one for singular forms and one for plural forms. Look at the following chart. FINIR (to finish, to end) je fin –isje finisnous finissons tu fin –istu finisvous finissez il/elle/on fin –itil/elle/on finitils/elles finissent nous fin + iss –ons vous fin + iss –ez ils/elles fin + iss –ent

Des exemples : À quelle heure finit ta classe de maths? (What time does your math class end?) -Elle finit à 11h30. (-It ends at 11:30.) Je finis mes devoirs avant de regarder la télé. (I finish my homework before watching TV.)
