CERN60 symposium on 26 June Melissa van der Sande, Science Communications, Nikhef2 Location: Amsterdam; Over 200 guests; A great variety of subjects: science bringing nations together, knowledge transfer, innovation and education; Announcement of Nikhef-CERN BIC, the Business Incubation Centre that will be housed at Nikhef; journalists registered; Some newspaper and online articles came out around the time of the symposium, some came out in September: most notably published in ‘de Volkskrant’ and ‘NRC’ about the unique international research culture at CERN and an interview with Rolf Heuer. Radio: NPO (the Dutch BBC) broadcast De Kennis van Nu (The knowledge of Today) including an interview with Frank Linde about 60 years CERN.
