1 Brevi Notizie dal Commissioning di CMS… November Global Run (GREN): will last 2 weeks: 26 Nov-7 December (Dec Cosmic Run cancelled, Tracker will probably not partecipate) => aiming for stable running conditions with : DT (baseline: whole YB0), RPC (baseline: YB0/+1/+2 Sect4/5/10/11), CSC (YE+2, ME2+ME3, 108 chambers) HCAL, ECAL DTTF,CSCF trigger & readout Expected ~10 50 M triggers very useful for - syncronization, calibration, alignment - reconstruction optimization: local/global - trigger` studies - correlation between different detectors https: //twiki.cern.ch/twiki//bin/view/CMS/GlobalRunGoalsNov2007 More on twiki page:

2 Praparation for Global Run: STA muons - First analysis (up to STA muons) of one full wheel (YB0) data (local run): Associated hits to reco STA muons: CMSSW 1_6_3 + EventFilter/DTRawtoDigi fix (committed for 1_7_0) Run ~ 50,000 triggers ~ 50 Hz ( 5 triggering Sectors: 7,8,9,10 & 12 )
