Is it possible to produce a Just Urban Environment? I.« Justice as Fairness », a quick overview of John Rawls’ Theory of Justice. II.How to apply spatially this Rawlsian conception. III.Seeking rationally a Just model of Urban Development.

I. « Justice as fairness » J. Rawls There are 2 Main principles: -A fair repartition of the advantages and burdens of social cooperation -The maximin principle.

II. « Seeking Spatial Justice » E. Soja - Pareto optimality: Nothing can change without damaging the well- being of at least one member of the society. - Territorial Justice: « a form of spatial organization which maximizes the prospects of the least fortunate region. » D. Harvey
