3 Les questions essentielles What is the « infinitif » form of the verb and how can you tell when a verb is in that form? What happens when there is a subject followed by 2 verbs in a sentence?

3 En bref: When there are two verbs in a sentence the first one is conjugated and the sencond one stays in the « Infinitif » (-ER form).

3 Verbe + infinitif 1.In French when the verbs aimer, adorer, and détester are followed by another verb, the second verb is in the infinitive form. Il aime rigoler. J’adore écouter la radio. On déteste travailler. 2. In a negative sentence, the ne… pas goes around the first verb. Vous n’aimez pas travailler?
