Comparisons más que → more than menos que → less than tan como → as much as

Comparisons There are three different ways to express comparisons in Spanish: más que → more than menos que → less than tan como → as much as

Comparisons If you want to compare things directly, you can say the same phrases, with an adjective in the middle… it just has to match your subject! Lebron James es más alto que mi hermana. Mi hermana es menos simpática que mi hermano. Mi madre es tan cómica como mi padre. (person/thing 1) es más (adjective) que (person/thing 2)

Práctica guiada… ¿Qué te gusta más? You will see two pictures or two words, and you need to decide whether you like one thing “más que”, “menos que”, or “tan como” the other thing. Write and say your answer like this: Me gusta el pollo más que el bistec. Me gusta Nikki Minaj tan como Katy Perry. You will have 1 minute for each slide before we share out!

Práctica guiada… ¿Qué te gusta más?

Ahora, escribe... Write 5 sentences using your food vocabulary, to explain which you like more than, less than, or as much as other foods. Ejemplo: Me gusta el helado más que las verduras. Be careful with gusta/gustan for singular/plural nouns!

Billete de Salida 1.Lebron es _____ alto que yo. a.más b.menos 2.La nieve (snow) es ________ frío que el sol (the sun). a.más b.menos 3.Translate: Me gusta matemáticas menos que ciencias. 4.Translate: Me gusta pizza tan como hamburguesas. 5.Translate: I like my sister more than my brother.

Billete de Salida: Las respuestas 1.a. más 2.a. más 3.I like math less than science. 4.I like pizza as much as hamburgers. 5.Me gusta mi hermana más que mi hermano.

You should include information such as your likes and dislikes, what you prefer more/less than other things, health information, and ingredients. Format like a letter and use your vocab! You will have a minimum of 25 mins and a maximum of 40. You must work individually. If you finish early, spend your time on duolingo!
