A moment is a time span of about 1-5 minutes… certainly not any longer.

For numbers 1-3, write a phrase or sentence recalling a moment when you felt…

For numbers 4-6, write a phrase or a sentence recalling a moment that was….

For numbers 7-9, write a phrase or a sentence recalling a moment…

For number 10, recall a memorable…

For number 11, recall a memorable moment when you had a lot of to spend…

For number 12, recall an unfortunate moment.

Write a TAKS style prompt that your moment would fit. Write a composition about a time you _______________.

Choose one of your moments and write it down. Number 1-5 underneath

Write only ONE complete sentence per question. 1.Where were you? I stood…; I ran….Use action verbs. 2.What was the first thing that happened? 3.What happened next? 4.What happened last? 5.What did you think to yourself?

Now, go back and use the sentence you wrote to answer each of the questions as the first sentence for each paragraph. Then, of course, expand each idea. Who were you with? What did you see? How did you feel? What did you smell? Use sensory language to help the reader see what you saw and feel what you felt.

Complete Sentences…NO FRAGMENTS! Use PREPOSITIONAL PHRASES to begin sentences. Use TRANSITIONS to help the reader move smoothly through the paper. NTSSSWTSW- No Two Sentences Should Start With The Same Word.
