Full name: Dante Alighieri He was an Italian poet in the middle ages. He was the author of the famous “ Divine Comedy”. Seen as a loner, very intelligent, unbelieving and never able to have want he pursed. WHO IS DANTE?

Dante’s three day dream. Good Friday to Easter Sunday He is guided through the after life, hell(inferno), and heaven (paradiso). WHAT IS DIVINE COMEDY ABOUT?

Guided by Virgil Seen and was able to communicate with the condemned souls He felt their Emotions and can to pity them INFERNO (HELL)

Purgatory (from the Latin 'purgare', to make clean, to purify) The seven deadly sins Not pure enough for heaven, but their sins are less than those who are tormented in hell They hold hope of being forgiven PURGATORY

his guide through heaven was Beatrice (unrequired love). Symbolizes Dante’s relationship with God. God was seeking Dante. PARADISO (HEAVEN)

Red symbolizes charity or love the man who had the most famous unrequited love. It symbolizes his pursue to heaven ( where his love Beatrice is) SYMBOLISM OF WEARING RED

Green symbolizes self respect and well being. After his vision or “dream” he had developed into a better man. Also showed his closeness to the earth. And want to live in the present life. SYMBOLISM OF WEARING GREEN LEAVES
