Greenhouse effect Amanda and Nina Hertha

What is the greenhouse effect? The greenhouse effect starts in the sun. The sunlight is trapped in the atmosphere because the greenhouse gases create a barrier around the Earth. Then, the gases can’t go back to space.

Consequences of greenhouse effect: The main consequence of the greenhouse effect is global warming. What is global warming? Global warming is when the temperature of the Earth increases, because of the greenhouse effect caused by human pollution. Scientist say it is already too late to prevent global warming!

Consequences of global warming: Increase in Earth’s temperature Glaciers melting Increase in the ocurrence of huricanes Sea level rise Warmer years More severe droughts Species will become extinct because they can’t adapt to the changes

How we can contribute to reduce the global warming and greenhouse effect? We can save energy around the house. We can drive less cars. We can give to ride for friends, neighbors.
