FIA Stockholm: RWI Session IV.6 Alexander Gluhak, The University of Surrey Neeli Prasad, Aalborg University Srdjan Krco, Ericsson Manfred Hauswirth, DERI Mirko Presser, Alexandra Institute A/S 24/11/09

Session agenda Introduction (15 mins) Feedback from cross-domain sessions (15 mins) Knowledge cafes (60 mins) RWI planning towards Valencia (30 mins)

RWI mission Real World Internet encompasses the greater vision of integrating the real world into the FI The RWI community works jointly towards the evolution of technologies to enable real world awareness and interactions capabilities into the service layer of the FI Our mission is to drive the FI requirements and technological road map to enable real world awareness and communicate those with the other FI communities

RWI foundations Real world aware Future Internet Internet of Things, NoF Real world knowledge Service layer integration Security, Privacy and Trust Socio- economics Experi- mentation

Past Events Bled – panel during NoF session Position Paper Madrid - grass roots project based community building First definition of RWI pillars (Device Technology, Network Architecture, Networked Knowledge, Socio-Economics, Experimentation) Prague – knowledge café for roadmapping Redefining Pillars and introduction of cross-domain topics

Next steps Interaction with other communities – EPoSS ETP - done – CERP-IoT – in progress Next milestones for community – Whitepaper (a new version of the position paper) RWI technology roadmap Recommendations (architecture and experimentation) – Contributing to PPP development from RWI perspective

Cross-domain session feedback Timeline: 15 mins Feedback on the following topics – Discovery and search (Manfred Hauswirth) – Orchestration (Stephan Haller) – Smart City (Mirko Presser) – Business architectures /Enterprise (Srdjan Krco) – Identity and Trust (Neeli Prasad)

Knowledge cafes Timeline: 60 mins 4 Tables – Internet of Things/Network of the Future (Alex Gluhak, Mirko Presser) – Real World Knowledge (Manfred Hauswirth, Srdjan Krco) – Service Layer Integration (Stephan Haller – TBC) – Security, Privacy and Trust (Neeli Prasad)

Questions to be addressed Relevance of cross domain topics to the agenda of the RWI area discussed at the table Potential synergies that could be identified towards addressing RWI challenges Potential problems or implication on RWI work that may require stronger co-ordination with other FI domains Gaps or contradicting assumption in the approach of other FIA domains with respect to RWI requirements Preparing towards Valencia

Towards Valencia Timeline: 25 mins Synthesis of ideas and further approach towards Valencia – Presentation by the cafe chairs on discussed approaches – Steps to align the discussion towards a common strategy for RWI and the way towards Valencia
