Main Ideas Unrest caused by change is harming Russia People are starving, economy is suffering, political instability because of revolutions Tsar is necessary to maintain stability

Policies Keep the Tsar, don’t want actual revolution Dedicated to maintaining autocracy, Orthodox church; extreme slavophiles High emphasis on the unity of Russian people; wanted to make national minorities feel Russian Highly antisemetic!!! (Black Hundreds)

Politcal Freedoms Duma should be established to tell Tsar of real needs of people Jews should be admitted into Duma; max. 3 Jews Freedom of press, speech, assembly, unions etc. Freedoms should be limited

Education Should provide people with the foundation of Christianity Should teach in the spirit of autocracy Strengthen feelings of patriotism Opening of more schools, more supplies such as pamphlets, books etc. Rural schools will equip peasants for rural life
