Aim: Understanding the 5 Pillars of Islam

Beliefs and Practices of Islam Main Teachings There is only one God (Monotheism) There is good and evil There are 5 duties that Muslims must carry out (5 Pillars of Islam) 2

5 Pillars of Islam 1) Faith (Statement) There is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger. 2) Prayer Call to prayer 5 times a day from the Mosque 3) Alms Giving charity to less fortunate 4) Fasting Muslims fast from sunrise-sunset during Ramadan 5) Pilgrimage to Mecca (Hajj) 3
