DNA Basics DNA is the most basic building block of life DNA makes proteins for the body DNA passes genes from one generation to the next Almost all cells have DNA

DNA to RNA DNA cannot leave the nuclease DNA splits itself and makes a copy called RNA The RNA is then responsible for getting the code to a Ribosome which makes the needed protein This process is called translation and transcription

DNA in genetics DNA passes from one generation to the next in chromosomes Natural selection insures that only the most benifitial traits get passed on Natural selection is the reason for evolution

Natural Selection Natural selection starts with a random mutation which can be good or bad If the mutation makes it easier for the organism to survive then the trait is most likely to be passed on This is because the organism with the trait will be able to provide better and therefore able to mate more
