Chapter 3 – Cardiovascular Diseases The term cardiovascular diseases is used here to mean: Diseases and congenital malformations of the circulatory system as coded in the ICD. Coronary heart disease Heart failure Cardiomyopathy Atrial fibrillation Cerebrovascular disease (stroke) Hypertensive disease Peripheral artery disease Congenital malformations of the circulatory system
