For Moles – Grams Conversions 1.Read the problem and find the starting point (the number). 2.Write this starting point down with its units. 3.Draw a “factor” 4.Set up the units in the factor – be sure to cancel the starting units and be sure that the units that the problem wants you to find go on top.

Continuing Find the element on the periodic chart. Write the number “1” for the “mole” in the factor. Write in the atomic weight for the “grams” in the factor. Calculator time: – If both numbers are on top – multiply – If one number is on top and the other is below – divide Write the answer with its units.
