Uranus Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun and the third of the 4 gas giants. Uranus is 14.5 bigger then Earth. It have that blue and green color and it does not have a hard surface and actually the surface was layers of clouds.Uranus is outside the orbit of Saturn and inside the orbit of Neptune. It is very far from the sun so Uranus is very cold. Uranus has the 27 moons. Uranus athmosphere is made of gasses such as mathane hydrogen and helium. This planet is also made of rock and also ice that is why it is very cold.

Name History The name Uranus, which was first created by the German astronomer Johann Elert Bode.Uranus was also the name of the Lord of the skies and also called Earth husband. Uranus was once king of the gods but now his son Saturn has replace him to be the king. Uranus was also called the ice giant because of the freezing temparature.

Moons Uranus have 22 moons. In Uranus there are 5 big moon and 10 smaller moon. The 5 big moons are: Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon. For the 10 smaller moons are: Ordelia, Ophelia, Bianca, Cressida, Desdemona, Juliet, Portia, Rosalind, Belinda and Puck. Smaller moons are located more deeper to the uranus surfase but the bigger moons was located outside the planet it self. Some of the Uranus moons are one of the shepards moon to they are located in the edges of the rings to protect from ice or dust going out to the space.

Distences The distence of Uranus and the sun are 1,9 billion miles. And the distence of neptune to uranus is 911,453,788 miles. And from uranus and saturn is 1.45 million kilometers.

Life cycle Uranus was made of helium,mathane and hydrogen that combines to a circle. Uranus was once in age 86 and up. This planet can transite age at the mid life at the age of 38 to 45 years old.

Rings Uranus have 11 rings. This rings are The size of saturn’s rings. Inside the rings are rock and dust combine together. There are many kinds of rings there are: Epsilon,1986 U1R,Delta,Gamma,Eta,Beta,Alpha,Ring 4, Ring 5, Ring 6, 1986 U2R.

Motion and duration Uranus orbits in each side. long ago a very large object smashed into this planet the crash was so powerful that it changed the direction of Uranus' rotation. That rotation impact each day in uranus to be 17.9 hours and each year is years fo earth, because of it’s long orbit path. Uranus rotate in a clock wise way.
