FALL OF THE INCA EMPIRE

SPANISH ENCOUNTER THE INCAS The Inca Empire was the largest empire in pre-Columbian America, and was located in modern day Peru.

SPANISH ENCOUNTER THE INCAS Before the arrival of the Spanish in Peru, Incas are dying from smallpox, which reaches them from Central America.

SPANISH ENCOUNTER THE INCAS In 1529, Francisco Pizarro (from Spain) is granted permission to conquer Peru. Pizarro and 168 Spanish men arrive in Peru in 1532.

Spanish Conquest of the Inca Empire Spaniards acquire native allies who want to end the Inca control of their territories.
